AB Based on the author's observations in 1886, a description of the dimensions and characteristics of the glacier, its moraines, movement, subglacial streams, retreat, buried forest, kames and kettle-holes about its mouth, and transportation and waste by water; with mention of other glaciers reaching Glacier Bay, and a list of twenty-seven plants found during August in Muir Inlet.
