View southwest towards Gataga Mountain in northern British Columbia, Canada. The dark Gataga volcanics outcrop over the mountaintop and include features consistent with a glacial influence. These volcanics unconformably overlie the pale brown non-glacial Frog quartzite, seen in the core of the Cordilleran anticline that folds both units. New data from both these formations provide important constraints for Neoproterozoic rifting and glacial histories (see Eyster and others, this issue p. 167–207). Photo Credit: Athena Eyster.
