Relative to a paper by D. de Waard on compositional variation of plagioclases as a function of metamorphic zoning, discusses the effect of discontinuities in the plagioclase series on the epidote-plagioclase equilibriumdiagram and the selection of plagioclase compositions to mark the boundaries between different facies of regional metamorphism.
